Where We Stand

An honest ledger of our own certainty: what the model and the product have actually established, what only reality can still confirm, and what we refuse to claim. The buying club is real today; the ownership economy is a rigorously-modeled direction we are building in the open β€” and here is exactly where the line between them falls.

An honest model owes you its own doubts

Most economic pitches hide their uncertainty. They show you the upside and file the doubts in a disclaimer no one reads. We think that is exactly backwards. The trustworthy thing to do with a big claim is to publish, plainly, how sure you actually are.

So this page is a ledger of our own certainty. Not a summary of the good news β€” a map of the line between what we have established and what only time can. We keep it in three honest columns:

  • What we know β€” established, and checkable. The mechanism, the mathematics, the engine's results, and the failures we caught ourselves.
  • What we're still testing β€” modeled, but unproven in the world. The things no simulation can settle, only a real community can.
  • What we won't claim β€” the red line. Promises we deliberately refuse to make.

If any of this ever reads as more certain than it is, we've failed at the one thing this page exists to protect.

What we know

Everything in this column is either arithmetic, or a result the seeded ownership-rotation engine reproduces the same way every time you run it in your own browser.

  • The mechanism is coherent and self-consistent. In the default community, every member reaches full coverage of their spending. Everyone graduates, in about eleven years, with income inequality near zero at the finish. It is not hand-waved. It is a state machine you can step through. The Complete Model β†’
  • The return is grounded, not assumed. The one number that sets the pace is an earned slice of a real business's own profit, at the margins members' businesses actually run: ROI = 12Β·PSPΒ·(mΒ·s)/C β€” equivalently, slice Γ— margin Γ— capital-turns. A live calculator computes the whole chain and flags physically implausible dial combinations. It shows exactly when a target is reachable and when it's a wish.Where the Return Comes From β†’
  • It survives contact with reality β€” in the model. Give every family its own budget, let a third of the businesses fail, let members arrive over years: everyone still graduates. The finish moves out and widens, but no one is ever excluded. When Businesses Fail β†’ Β· Joining in Flight β†’
  • The network sustains itself. Businesses spawn businesses; ownership passes down the tree and return flows up it. The naΓ―ve version is a bubble β€” we know, because we built it and watched it collapse. The corrected version carries a 60,000-member network home and holds. The Network Sustains β†’ Β· The Piling β†’
  • We caught our own failures β€” and published the corrections. The extraction bubble. The unbacked spill that promised income no one owned. We found them, said so, and fixed them in the open. That is the strongest thing we can tell you about how this work is done.
  • The buying club is real software, today. Not a mockup. It is a security-audited platform (concurrency-safe group buys, passkey auth, audit logging, ~1,800 tests) running the full coordinator lifecycle, with a live pilot in Charlotte.ourbuyingclub.com β†’
Modeled Β· reality must confirm

What we're still testing

These are not doubts about the math. They are the things a model, by its nature, cannot settle β€” the parts that live in the world, not the engine. Only a real community running for real years can turn these from "modeled" into "shown."

  • Scale, in the real world. The model says the mechanism is proportional. A pilot of 250 families predicts a city of 2,000 with almost no change in the finish. We believe the math. Reality has not yet run it.
  • The human side of a buying club. Coordinators sourcing real suppliers, hitting wholesale minimums, closing pools, collecting money, and keeping neighbors coming back month after month. No simulation proves this. The pilot must.
  • Real supplier margins, city by city. Our return is grounded in the margins businesses typically run. Whether a given community actually secures those deals is an operational fact, not a modeled one.
  • Whether people reinvest patiently. The fastest path stores a large share of early returns during the years of plenty. That's the arithmetic. Whether a real community chooses that patience is a human question the model can only pose.

We will report what these turn up β€” the disappointments as plainly as the wins. That is the whole point of building in the open.

The red line

What we won't claim

These are the promises we refuse to make β€” not because the lawyers say so (though they do), but because making them would be the exact dishonesty this page exists to prevent.

  • We do not promise returns. The ownership-and-income side of the model is a concept and a direction, not a product you can buy today. It is not an offer, not a solicitation, and carries real risk including loss. Anyone who tells you otherwise is not speaking for us.
  • We do not claim it's proven. Coherent is not the same as proven. We have shown the mechanism can work and holds together under stress. We have not shown that it does work with thousands of real families over real years β€” because it hasn't happened yet.
  • We do not claim a utopia. There is no frictionless paradise here β€” only a mechanism with honest trade-offs, which the research lays out one dial at a time. Patience costs years; failure widens the band; latecomers wait differently than founders.
  • We do not claim "get rich." The buying club saves a household money on things it was already buying β€” real, but modest, and immediate. The ownership economy is a long, patient build, not a windfall.
The distinction that matters

Coherent is not the same as proven

Here is the single idea this whole page turns on. A model can be internally airtight β€” every dollar conserved, every claim reproduced by the engine, every failure mode chased down β€” and still be unproven in reality. Those are two different achievements, and honest work never lets them blur together.

We have done the first. Rigorously, and with our failures on the record. The second β€” proof in the world β€” is not something more simulation can buy. It is earned one real community at a time, and it is the work now in front of us.

Our credibility is the line itself
We don't ask you to trust our optimism. We ask you to check that we always tell you which side of that line a claim sits on β€” modeled, or shown. If we ever stop drawing it clearly, hold us to this page.
The bottom line

So β€” where we stand

The buying club is real, and joinable now. It's built, it's security-audited, and it saves a household money on what it already buys β€” the honest, low-risk front door. It grows the way it has already begun: one coordinator, one supplier, one city at a time.

The ownership economy is a direction, not yet a destination. It is rigorously modeled, stress-tested, and honest about its own limits β€” a place worth building toward, offered as exactly that and nothing more.

If you join us, join with clear eyes: to save today, and to help prove β€” in the world, not just the engine β€” something we already know holds together on paper. That is the whole invitation. Nothing hidden in the footnotes.
